By Your Side is an unofficial BOTW scrapbook-style fanzine featuring Link and Zelda as a couple. This ship-centric zine will focus on their travels after the events of BOTW and before the events of TOTK, chronicled in four seasons - Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter._{*If you have any questions, contact us through our socials down below!}

1. What is the theme of this zine?✧ This zine will be formatted in a scrapbook-style fashion! The theme will be seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) and will be sectioned as such. It will focus on the romantic relationship between Link and Zelda. Contributors will be asked to create canon-compliant content since it takes place after the end of BOTW and before the events of BOTW 2.2. Is this for profit or for charity?✧ This is a for-charity zine! We will be deciding the charity through our contributors before preorders end.3. How will contributors be compensated for this zine?✧ Contributors will receive a digital copy of the zine. Depending on sales, we hope to give every contributor a full bundle. Contributors will also be able to purchase the physical zine and merch at production cost if we cannot provide the full bundle.4. How many contributors will be in this zine?✧ We are estimating about 6 writers (4 fics, 2 collaborators), 25 page artists, 5 merch artists. Composers will be based on interest check and applicants.5. Will you ship internationally?✧ Yes! We ask that all customers from the UK order through our etsy shop. For United States or International customers who are not from the UK, we ask that you order through our big cartel.6. Who can apply?✧ Anyone above the age of 16 may apply. The password for the application is Shelter from the Storm. The password is case sensitive.7. Would you consider opening this to all Legend of Zelda games instead of just Breath of the Wild?✧ As much as we would like to include all Zelda titles, both mods are not as familiar with many of the titles aside from BOTW. As a result, we feel that we are inadequate to head a zine that features all titles. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that there is still plenty of interest in the BOTW characters and world to move forward with this zine.8. Can mods contribute?✧ Mods may contribute to the zine if they wish to.

Application Guidelines

Writers
✧ Three samples with a max word count of 2.5k each piece. Excerpts are acceptable for longer works, but one piece must be a complete piece within the word count.
✧ You do not need to apply with a LoZ or BOTW piece, so feel free to apply even if you don't have one! Show us your favorite works!
✧ NSFW pieces will be accepted. Please tag your pieces accordingly if any trigger warnings apply.
✧ Any plagiarized works will automatically be disqualified.Writers (Collaborators)
✧ There will be two spots for writer collaborators, one for Link and one for Zelda. Instead of writing a fic, these two writers will be working with our spread page artists to create several notes throughout the scrapbook in the voice of each character for each season.
✧ Be prepared to fill out prompts in the application in the voice of the character you wish to write as.
✧ (Portfolio optional) It is heavily preferred that you send examples of the character you wish to portray in the zine (Link or Zelda).
✧ NSFW pieces will be accepted. Please tag your pieces accordingly if any trigger warnings apply.
✧ Any plagiarized works will automatically be disqualified.Artists
✧ Three samples with finished backgrounds. Simplified backgrounds are acceptable, but it must be something more than only a solid-colored background.
